Bonjour friends of Les Petites Pommes,
Thanks to all the children and families who attended Les Petites Pommes this summer! It’s so great getting to see returning campers and how much they’ve grown and learnt over a year’s time and getting to meet new campers! We are so lucky to have such awesome families come spend time with us at Les Petites Pommes.
Things were so busy that I didn’t get to keep up with the daily photo blog updates! However, I have finally finished updating the photo galleries on the website which can be viewed here: http://www.lespetitespommes.ca/?page_id=3560
So many events filled this summer including trips to The Aviary, The McMaster Art Gallery, and fun visits to the splash pad on those very hot summer days! Some other highlights include a mini-play of “Blanche Neiges et les Septs Nains” put on by the older class of session 2, and lots of fun theme days planned by our instructors including: La Course Incroyable, La Journée Verte, Le Cirque, Les Animaux et Les Beaux-Arts!
Our new summer location at Temple Anshe Sholom (215 Cline ave. N) was an excellent host. We had so much green space just outside our doors. We also got to help out with Kehila’s school community garden and learn together the discipline and rewards involved with caring for our plants and vegetables!
This summer we had new and returning instructors. We were very lucky to have Mathilde Danet as an instructor who is originally from Lille, France and was also one of our T.A’s from McMaster! Cory was also a new addition and is the current President of the McMaster French Club. Returning, we had Natalie, Richelle and Andrew who I can’t say enough about! I love them and they’re the best!
Another milestone of this summer was for first time in Les Petites Pommes history we had 3 classrooms running at once! The last 2 weeks seem to be very popular!
Thanks everyone for such a great summer! If you ever have any French questions or think there’s anything we can help you with please DO NOT hesitate to ask! We truly care for all of our students and we want to see them succeed!
Sincerely,
Mary Clements
